About Us
The Commemorative Air Force® (CAF) was founded to preserve history by keeping World War II aircraft in flying condition so they can be used to educate and inspire new generations of Americans.
We honor the men and women who built, flew, and maintained these aircraft by offering a Living History Flight Experience in a Grumman Avenger Torpedo Bomber and a Piper Cub Training/Liaison aircraft.
CAF RMW is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and all donations are tax-deductible.
Our Mission
Educate, Inspire, and Honor
…lest we forget
…lest we forget
The Commemorative Air Force is chartered to preserve WWII-era aircraft, and American Airpower History. We restore, maintain, and fly over 170 aircraft, operate museums across the US, and tell stories of the heroes who helped to save the world and ensure our freedom.
